Below you will find a list of Game Servers that I have run on dedicated VMs in the past, or have tried to get working.
ALL SERVERS AUTOMATICALLY REBOOT at 4AM EST(NY) or start shutting down at around 3:45AM to prepare for reboot.
Please take notice that rebooting them regularly makes sure that updates apply normally, and any bugs or issues are cleared out to refresh for the next day. Assuming that there is an update queued for that system, it could take up to an hour or so before the game server properly starts back up again.
If you notice that it's well beyond the time that the server should be up (like mid-day) and it still isn't, feel free to reach out to me to let me know, and I can try to manually restart the server... or you can wait until the next day...

I just want people to have fun during this time. At the time of writing and creating all this, there's a pandemic (COVID-19/Coronavirus in 2020), and people are trapped inside their homes with nothing to do. There are more productive things we could be doing, but what better way to enhance my computer and networking skills, provide freedom from boredom, and a way for people to connect to each other, all at the same time?
Games: they bring people together and it's a great way to pass the time.
I run a private, in-home VM Host (which is like a server for servers) where I run a bunch of Virtual Machines, each one dedicated to running a specific task, project, or even a game server. If you're curious about what all that's about, head to the Projects page to read more about what kind of computer hardware is required to run multiple VMs like this or how I set them up.
Since I already have the hardware and the skills, it's best to do something that benefits everyone.
Don't you agree?

If you've looked at the game servers below and was wondering how much it takes to play games at 1080p/60FPS or better, you can still do it on a low budget.
Yep. You heard me correctly.
You don't need a thousands dollars.
You can do it for much, much less.
Technically, you can get away with it for less if the parts are on sale or if you are willing to adjust your expectations, but to play games like CS:GO, Fortnite, Halo, and other top titles doesn't take much, even with the quality settings on High. Click the Button below, and it will take you to a page where I explain more and will include an updated parts list that you can use to build your own Budget Build Gaming PC.
All the parts are sourced from Amazon, and I try to update the build list regularly and make sure it's got the most appropriate components to squeeze the most performance per dollar, all while making sure it doesn't look like a potato... obviously.
We can't have you gaming on a potato now, can we?
