Reminder: The RVM Servers shut down at 3:50 AM Eastern time.
This server is designed to reboot once every 4 hours, with a 10-min and 1-min warning. This is to clear server cache or allow mods to update.
Please make sure to properly log off when it is due for a reboot/shutdown. The server will not wait for you.
Warning: There are no backups for this server; backups are disabled. The World Save is as it is, and is subject to wipe at any time.

This is primarily a 2D RPG (Role-Playing Game), so it doesn't need a dedicated graphics card to run (but it would help!).
However, as each cell on the map that is uncovered is persistent, the save file will expand rapidly as you explore. This means that anything you do on the map, every item you interact with, zombies you kill, etc., the server will remember it all. Be sure to properly make use of trashcans, garbage bins, or dumpsters to delete items from the world and free up memory.
Aside from this, just pick up a copy on Steam or GOG and then follow the instructions below to connect. NOTE: Only Steam copies can join the server at this time. If you have a GOG copy, you won't be able to connect. I am looking more into this option, but you are free to try and see if it works - if it does, send a message on the Discord server!
It is strongly recommended that you play the tutorial and try some single-player vanilla (without mods) to get used to the game before joining our server.
All of the mods are managed on the server-side, and you'll be automatically prompted to download the ones you need when you attempt to join the server through the game-client, so no need to download and manually install them in advance like other games.
Launch the game via Steam. When the game is open, on the left, click Join.
By default, it will select the Favorites tab at the top.
Instead of an IP, you will enter the DDNS Address: realdrkim.dynu.net
Enter in the details like shown in the example, then enter in your own Account Username and Account Password.
The Account Username and Password can be anything you want, which will be separate from your Steam login. It is the same as if you were creating an account for any other site or service. Don't forget your password!
After entering in the Server Password: zomdeez and entering your credentials, you can click SAVE.
Upon saving these details, you'll see the server saved under your Favorites tab so that you can easily Double-Click the favorite to connect without having to enter in your password each time.
The server details will state that the Server is Not Responding, but that is due to the DDNS masking the Public IP Address of the server. You can still double-click it without any issues, and it will still connect just fine.
Note: If you forget your account login details for the dedicated server, there's no way to recover them. You will have to request for me to wipe your account on Discord and then create a brand new account from scratch.

If you are joining the server for the first time without having downloaded these mods, you do not actually have to go out of your way to find them. When you attempt to join, the game will automatically prompt you to install the required mods before you can join the world.
You do not have to exit your game to download the mods, even if the mods receive an update.
The Description will include the ModID Name and ModID Number. Click the pink Display Name to go to the Steam Workshop page and read more about what the mod does. This is to help you try out mods in solo play or if you want to create your own Multiplayer server.
This mod was made by one of our very own players on the server, check out his mod below! His username on Steam (or our server) is Cleszcak/TurkFebruary. Please support his work by trying out the mod and providing some feedback if you find any bugs.
These mods are required in order for the rest of the mods in the collection to work properly.
These mods will enable additional functionality and usefulness to actions being performed in-game, or offer more features to improve gameplay.

The mods in this collection will enhance or add to anything that pertains to fighting off zombie enemies. The mods may make the game harder, more challenging, or might even make it more engaging and easier to fight zombies.
